Never to Late 4

Grissom woke slowly. Not even bothering to open his eyes.  He was too comfortable and warm.  He wanted to enjoy the feeling for just a little while more.

Greg had made love to him until late in the morning.  Finally letting him fall asleep around noon.

Grissom felt so… He couldn’t quite describe how he was feeling.  Good didn’t even come close to describing how he felt.

He felt calm.  He felt at peace with the world.  He felt well and truly loved.  Something he’d never, ever felt before.

He sighed happily.  Greg was using him as a pillow again.  Grissom should have felt squashed, but he didn’t.  He liked that Greg was on top of him.  Head resting on his shoulder.  Good thing the younger man had washed his hair before coming to bed.  Otherwise he could have taken an eye out with those infernal spikes.

Grissom ran his hands over a slight back.  Loving the way the muscles moved against his hands.  Greg was so warm and soft.  And knew how to make love like nobody’s business.

Greg must have truly done research on the art of lovemaking.  Some of the things he did, Grissom hadn’t even known could be done.  And Grissom was a heck of a lot older than Greg.  Perhaps Grissom wasn’t all that streetwise despite being older.

Truth be told Grissom hadn’t really taken the time for that anyway.  To lost in his work and career to care whether he came home to an empty house or not.

Not until he suddenly realized that time had passed him by.  He sure as hell noticed it now.  How could he ignore it?  It was as plain as the grey hair in his beard and hair.

Sara had somehow become the beacon he needed to recover some of his lost youth.  It hadn’t worked out.  Neither had been what the other wanted or needed.

Then Greg had shoved his way in, demanding that Grissom acknowledge him as a suitable lover.  Shoved his way in rather rudely, at that.  Grissom smiled inwardly.

Grissom had never really given it thought about finding someone in the male population as a lover.  He was having enough trouble finding someone in the female section of it as it was.

Greg had showed him the error of his ways.  Boy, had he ever.  But now that Grissom had Greg, he wasn’t going to want anyone else.  Not ever.

As if sensing his thought Greg began to wake.  Making cute, little snuffling noises against his neck.

“Stop thinking you’re making me deaf,” Greg told him hoarsely.

“I can’t stop thinking anymore than I can stop breathing.”

“Well, then can you tone it down a little.  I wanted to sleep a little more,” Greg replied, nuzzling deeper against Grissom.

“I can try.”

“Cool,” Greg gave his neck a sloppy kiss in thanks.

Grissom chuckled softly, pulling the younger man even closer.  It felt good, so good to have some to cuddle with.

“Still thinking,” Greg accused softly.

“Just a little.  I can’t help it.  I’m wide awake.”

Greg lifted his head to meet Grissom’s eyes.  “Well, so am I now.”

Grissom gave him an apologetic smile.   “Sorry.”

“Don’t be.  We can make love for a while before we get ready for work,” Greg replied, wiggling his eyebrows at him.

“Oh.  And what if I don’t want to?”

Greg moved against Grissom, slowly sensually.  “I beg to differ.”

“That’s just cause I’m warm and comfortable.”

“Huh, huh.”

“No, really.”

Greg rose up enough to be able to run his cheek against Grissom’s beard.  “Okay.  Then I guess I’ll just have to find a different way to amuse myself.”

“What does that mean?”

Greg tossed the blankets aside and rolled off of Grissom.  “You’ll see.”

The younger man lay next to Grissom and began to explore his own body with his hands.  Caressing his chest, gently flicking his nipples in passing before heading lower.

“Huh, Greg?”

Greg ignored him as he continued his explorations.  Going lower to stroke his growing erection.  Sighing softly as he spread the growing fluid oozing from the tip.

“Greg?”

Greg turned his head to look at Grissom.  “Yes, Boss?”

Grissom moved closer, placing his hand over Greg’s.  “Uncle.”

“Give in?”

The older man offered his lips to Greg.  “Hell, yeah.  I’m a royal wimp.”

Greg gently licked at Grissom’s lower lip.  “What do you want?”

Grissom felt his check flush under his beard.  “I…uh…”

“Can’t say it yet?”

“No.”

Greg nuzzled his cheek with his nose.  Feeling the heat from the blush coming through the soft beard.  “Okay.  That’s alright.  Can you give me a hint?”

“You.  I want you.”

Greg urged the older man on top.  “Done.”

Grissom stared down at the younger man, before reaching for his lips with his own.  They opened readily.  Tongue seeking his hungrily.

When they pulled apart Grissom was moving restlessly against the body under his.  Greg opened his legs, wrapping them around his hips.

Grissom found what he was searching for as he slid deep inside Greg’s body.  Still slick from the before.

“Oh, God,” he moaned softly, keeping himself still, no matter how much his body wanted to thrust.

Greg smiled up at him.  “Good?”

“Yeah.  Oh, God, yeah.”

Greg ran his finger over his nose.  “You’re so beautiful.  My Grandma’s gonna love you.”

Grissom unable to fight the urging of his body any more began moving.  Watching as Greg’s eyes dilated in pleasure.

“S…Should we be taking about your Grandma when we’re making love?”

Greg wrapped his legs around Grissom’s waist.  “You’re right,” he replied, meeting Grissom thrust for thrust for thrust.  Hands cupping the older mans head urged him down for a kiss.  “You’re right.”

Grissom came back to awareness slowly to feeling gentle hands caressing his back.

“You alive?”  Greg asked him softly.

“Don’t know yet. I think you killed me.”

Greg chuckled.  “Ha.  You gave as good as you got.”

“I can’t move,” Grissom complained weakly.

“So don’t.”

Grissom nuzzled Greg’s neck.  “We’re going to be stuck together soon if I don’t.”

“Hmm, that feels nice.  Not yet.  Stay just like this for a little while more.”

The older man lifted his head to look into warm, happy brown eyes.  “If I stay like this chances are pretty good that I might be able to go another round.”

Greg smiled at him.  “That a threat.  Cause if it is, it has absolutely no weight behind it.”

Grissom returned the smile.  “You’re so easy.”

“Yup.”

Greg gently stroked Grissom’s hair.  Enjoying the almost tangible waves of contentment coming off the older man.

“Boss?”

“Hmm?”

“Tomorrow’s my weekly dinner with my Grandma Sally.”

Grissom licked a patch of nearby flesh.  “Oh?”

“Come with me?”

“Huh…”

“Please? Grandma’s gonna love you.  And she makes the best apple pie.  She makes her own ice cream to go with it.  Please.”

Grissom lifted his head to look into Greg’s eyes.  Looking into the pleading depths. He could only have one answer despite his trepidation.  “Alright.”

And somehow the smile he got in return made it all worthwhile.

“Grandma.”

“Grandson.” The not so old looking Grandmother replied as she let Greg and Grissom into her home.

Grissom stood behind them in uncomfortable silence as the two greeted each other happily.

Greg’s Grandmother was to Grissom’s eyes no older than sixty-five and with a head of pure white hair neatly French braided behind her head.  And the warmest brown eyes he’d ever seen in his life.

“Grandma, this is Grissom.”

Grissom was treated to a warm smile and the same affectionate hug Greg had received.  “Hello, Mr. Grissom.  Welcome to my home.”

“Thank you for inviting me,” Grissom replied, accepting the hug though not quite sure how to respond.  Even though he knew returning the hug would be really good.  He wasn’t sure he could at this point.

If Greg’s Grandmother noticed Grissom’s discomfort she didn’t let on.  “I’m very happy to have you here,” She replied as she released him.  “Come in. Come in.”

Grissom looked around the airily room.  “This is a very beautiful house.”

Sally Sanders smiled at him.  “Thank you.  I’ve been here many years and have had a chance to turn it from a house to a home.”

“I think by you just being here turned it into a home,” Grissom replied as he sat across from her, in a loveseat.

Sally smiled allowing Grissom to see two beautiful dimples.  “That’s very nice of you to say.”  She turned to her grandson, who was now sitting next to her on the couch. “So how are things since we last talked?”

Greg rolled his eyes at her.  “Grandma, we just talked yesterday.”

“Yes, but a lot can happen between yesterday and today.”

“Not that much.  I already told you about all the important bits,” he told her yawning into his hand.

Sally frowned at her Grandson.  “Have you been getting enough sleep?”

Greg gave her a sheepish grin.  “No to much,” He looked over at Grissom.  had more important things to do.”

Sally smiled, affectionately stroking his cheek.  “I’m sure.  Why don’t you lie down for a little while?  Dinner won’t be ready for at least forty five minutes.”  She motioned for Greg to rest his head on her lap.

“But Grandma…”  Greg complained, yet did as she requested.  “I wanted to ask about M…”

“Shh. Everything’s alright.  Sleep.”  Sally covered him with a quilt of the back of the couch.  She looked over at Grissom. “Watch,” she whispered.

Her left hand gently stroked the back of Greg’s neck, just below the nape of his hair.  Grissom’s eyes widened as the touch soothed the younger man to the point he went totally and completely boneless.  Sound asleep in seconds.

“Wow.  He comes with an off switch.  Good to know.”

Sally smiled at him.  “Yes.  Found it when he was five and had worn himself and everyone to a frazzle.  There he was standing there swaying with exhaustion and not able to rest. I had him climb into my lap and I just started to sooth him.  It really works when he’s having trouble shutting off his motor.”

“Does it work every time?”

Sally chuckled softly.  “Never fails.  I’m only showing you this because you are his true love.  I would never show it to anyone else.  And I expect you to never abuse what I’ve just showed you.”

“Never.  I promise.”

“He told me so much about you.  Do you know how long he’s been searching for you?”

Grissom sighed.  “He’s sort of mentioned it.”

“Has he mentioned the days where I’d hold him as he cried himself hoarse because he thought he’d never find you.”  She smiled.  “He was eight at the time.”

“Oh?”

“He worried for so long about never being able to find his true love.  Then one day he calls me.  Happy chattering away that he’s found his love.”

“Really?”

Sally nodded.  “Yes.  Oh, God he was so happy.  That changed pretty quickly when he couldn’t get you to notice him. Went back to when he was eight and I had to hold him as he cried.”  She gave him an accusing look.

“I didn’t know.”

“You never noticed the stunts he would pull, the stupid comments said to get your attention?”

“Yes, but I thought that was Greg being Greg.”

Sally gently stroked her grandson’s hair or tried to.  “I’ve warned him about his hair, but he insisted that if it was radical, you might notice him sooner.  It was Greg very much being Greg.  He was trying so hard to get you to notice him.”

“I did.  But not the way he wanted me to.  Not until he forced the issue on me.  I can be quite dense sometimes.”

Sally smiled at him.  “Greg has another name for it.”

“Yes, he’s called me an idiot.”

“Yes he has.  Among a few other choice words.  He was so worried you would become more involved with Sara.”

Grissom felt his eyebrows rise.  “He told you about that?”

“Yes.  My Grandson and I talk about everything.  I went with him to the bookstore to buy books on gay sex when he realized that his love was male.”

“Y…you did?”

Sally chuckled.  “Yes, Mr. Grissom, I did.  I love my Grandson.  It doesn’t matter to me that his true love is male.  I just want Greg to be happy.  If you make him happy so be it.”  The chuckling stopped and she gave Grissom a look that sent chills down his back.  “If you hurt him there won’t be any place for you to hide that I won’t find you.”

“I’ll try not to.”

Sally nodded.  “I’ll hold you to it.  In your hands you hold the heart of a very special young man.”

“I know,” Grissom whispered.  “I’ve always know, but I’m just now realizing just how special he really is.”

“He’s going to make you crazy.”

“I know.”

He going to bring life and laughter into your world as well.”

“I know.  Something I’ve been sorely lacking.”

Sally met Grissom’s eyes.  Hers brimming with tears.  He going to give his heart and soul.  Everything that he is and will be, he’s going to give to you.  What are you going to do?”

“Take it.  Hold it close and never ever let go.”
