Highland Child

“Oh, you’re a bonnie lass.”

Methos spun around from his ablutions in a small lake he’d come across in the Scottish Highlands.  Almost losing his balance.  He’d traveled many days before coming across this warm, crystal clear waters.

His eyes beheld a beautiful man or more boy than man.  Sitting on a rock peacefully contemplating.

“Do you know how rude it is to sneak up on people?”

He was given a cheeky grin for his troubles.  “Doe ye know how rude it tis ta wander onto a person’s property and help yeself ta its goods?”  The boy indicated to the rabbit Methos had roasting nearby.

“Is this your land?”

“Aye.  My Da.  I am Duncan McLeod of the Clan McLeod.  And ye be?”

“M…Adam.”

“Well M...Adam, are ye planning on staying in yonder waters all day?”

Methos swished the waters with his hands.  “Maybe.  Why do you ask?”

He was given another cheeky grin.  “I’d welcome the chance ta see the rest of ye.  Ye a fine specimen of man.  Well, except for yonder nose.  That be a mighty beak ye have.”

“Well, of all the bloody cheek,” Methos huffed, rubbing his insulted appendage.

Duncan chuckled.  “Come out.  Let me see the rest of ye,” he said seductively.

“How old are you, Duncan McLeod of the Clan McLeod?”

“Sixteen.”

“To young to be trying to seduce an older man.”

Duncan eyed him speculatively.  “How old are ye?”

“Older than you might think.”

“Older than twenty-six?”

Methos smiled at him.  “Yes.”

Duncan seemed to be instantly fascinated by the smile.  “Ye’s smile is a glorious sight to be hold.  Yer green eyes twinkle when ye smiles.”

Methos bowed slightly.  “Thank you kind sir, for the gentle compliment.”

“Are ye ever gone ta come out of the water?”  Duncan asked softly, despairingly.

“No, I think I’ll stay here until you go home to play with your toys, youngling.”

Dark brown eyes flashed at him angrily.  “Who ya calling youngling?  I’m old enough to have done it.”

“Done what, youngster?”

“It…  Ye know-IT.”

“Ah, are you referring to sex?”

Methos chuckled softly when Duncan’s face flamed a bright pink.  Clearly visible despite the tan.

“Well-aye.”

“If you’ve done it before why are you blushing like a lily white virgin?”

“I’m not,” Duncan told him defensively.

“Yes, you are.”

“Well, I’ve done it lots of times.”

Methos cupped some water, raising his hands releasing it slowly to allow the water to course down his chest.  Smiling when his actions were followed hungrily.

“How many?”

Duncan looked away from him for a second before those beautiful brown eyes came back to him.  “Hmm, almost once.”

“Almost once.”

“Almost once?” Methos laughter twinkled out over the small lake, earning an evil glare.

“Aye.  She got scare and ran off ta her Ma.”

“Gave you a case of blue balls, did she?”

“Aye,” Duncan told him sheepishly.  “Had ta finish it with me own hands.”

“I’m sorry to here that.”

“Come out of da water, M…Adam, please.”

“No.”

Duncan frowned at him.  “But why?”

“Because the minute I come out of here, I’m afraid you’ll jump me.”

“What if I promise not ta?”

Methos smiled at him.  “I don’t believe you.”

Duncan returned it.  “I don’t believe me neither,” he told him, his smile becoming mischievous.

Methos chuckled.  “That’s what I thought.  Can’t you find someone else to test your virgin oats with?”

“Nope.”

“No females or males as the case maybe?”

Duncan climbed off his boulder.  “Nay,” ne replied moving closer to Methos.

“I can’t believe that.  Not a beautiful Highlander child like you.”

Duncan smiled.  “Ye thinks I’m beautiful?”  he asked, unable to hide the pleasure from his voice or the gentle blush coloring his tanned skin.

“Oh, yes-like you didn’t know you were beautiful.”

“Won’t ye come out of da water?”

Methos chuckled softly.  “You are a vexing child-did you know that, Duncan McLeod of the Clan McLeod?”

“I’m not a child,” Duncan said sharply.  “M…Adam?”  he said in a softer tone.

“What?”

Duncan smiled at him.  The mischief back in his brown eyes.  “I’m not wearing any knickers under ma kilt.”

Methos blinked.  “What did you just say?”

“I’m not wearing any knickers.”

Highland child, you are incorrigible.”

Duncan smile deepened.  “Aye, dat I am.  Come out of the water,” he told him again.  Offering his hand to Methos. “I won’t hurt ye.  Please, come out of da water.”
